Q: We have several staff members accessing Golf Genius Golf Shop. Can I create one username and password that can be shared between them?
A: It's common for any golf shop to have a shared username and password across multiple systems, making it easier for various users to access a team account. However, there are some drawbacks to this common practice, and we suggest each team member who needs access to Golf Genius Golf Shop carries a unique username and password of their own. Giving each manager their own credentials is a simple process. Click Here for more details.
Here are some reasons not to use a shared login:
β
Security: Should a user no longer work for your facility, you can immediately remove that user so they can no longer access sensitive information or delete important data from your account remotely.
Accountability: Actions taken by a manager are logged in our system using the Activity Log. If there is an issue with an order, you already know who to reach out to.
Accessibility: You may have some managers whom you want to limit access to specific features. When everyone has their own credentials, you can restrict certain managers access to certain features.
Efficiency: Our system sends several automated emails depending on actions taken by a manager. For instance, if you receive an order, an email is sent to the member notifying them it is available for pickup in the golf shop. If managers share a login, only one person will get, read and deal with all replies that may not be meant for them.
Education: All managers can receive our spotlights, quick tip, and product updates. That way, they can be informed of all new features or read our tips & tricks for Golf Shop.
We understand that if you have multiple managers accessing Golf Genius - Golf Shop from the same computer, it can be inefficient to log out and log back in to take advantage of these best practices. To make things easier, Admin Managers can swap between profiles, making a switch between managers more efficient (as shown below).
