A demo is considered finalized if one of the following happens:β
The customer returns the demo.
The customer purchases the demo.
The customer returns the demo and places a particular order to purchase the demo club as new.
The customer was charged for a demo that had not been returned.
Finalizing rentals is simple using one of the following options:
Manually on a Web Browser.
Handheld Scanner attached to a Computer.

Finalizing a Demo Clubs Manually on a web browser:
To finalize a demo manually, follow these instructions:
Go to Services > Demo Clubs > Dashboard.
Click the action drop-down and click finalize in the demo dashboard (as shown below).
Select one of the following finalizing options (as shown below):
The item has been returned: Demo club will be returned to the inventory and available to be issued to another customer.
Customer purchased this item: Demo club will be given to the customer permanently, marked as sold and removed from the inventory.
The item has been returned and the customer wants to place a special order: Demo Club will be returned to the inventory and available to issue to another customer. You will also be directed to the new special order form to place a new order for the customer.
This item has not been returned: Demo club will be removed from inventory and marked as sold.
βNote: If you have enabled the Stripe Integration, this option will read "This item has not been returned. Charge customer's credit card the following:" You can then enter any numerical value starting with zero to charge the customer for an unreturned club. If zero is entered, the customer's credit card will not be charged, and the demo will be finalized and marked as sold. If a value greater than zero is entered, the customer's credit card will be changed, and the demo will be finalized and marked as sold. All credit card transactions can be viewed in your Stripe Account.
Turn on or off the text message or email notification (if necessary). Note: This feature is not available when charging a customer's credit card on file.
Click "Save."
Finalizing Multiple Demo Clubs:
Sometimes, a member may check out multiple demos at once. When finalizing demo clubs for a customer, you can finalize multiple demo clubs at once. To finalize multiple demos, follow these instructions:
Go to Services > Demo Clubs > Dashboard.
Click the action drop-down and click finalize in the demo dashboard.
Review the available options as outlined in the prior section.
In the pop-up, you will see an option to "Select to finalize other active demo(s) from this customer" (as shown below).
Select the other demos you would like to finalize.
Click "Save," and each selected demo will be finalized.
Note 1: A separate notification is sent for each finalized demo.
Note 2: The same finalizing option (i.e., Return, purchase, place special order) will be applied to each item selected.
Note 3: When selecting multiple demos to finalize, you cannot edit the automated messages on the fly.
Finalizing a Demo Clubs using a Handheld Scanner:
To finalize a demo using a handheld scanner, follow these instructions:
Sign into Golf Genius - Golf Shop.
Scan the barcode of the club you wish to return. You will be taken to the finalized demo page (as shown below). For details on creating demo club barcodes, Click Here.
Select one of the following finalizing options:
The item has been returned: Demo club will be returned to the inventory and available to be issued to another customer.

Automated Notification:
After marking a demo club as returned, the customer will receive an email notification (if enabled) and text message notification (if enabled) confirming that their order has been returned.
The default notification includes the tracking number and return date. You can customize the automated notification to include a personalized message to the individual by clicking "Edit this specific message." For more details on customizing notifications on the fly, Click Here.
For automated emails, you can view the Email Delivery Report to ensure emails were delivered successfully and identify those that were not. Click Here for more details.
