What is the best method to manage my Golf Shop Roster?

Updated over 4 months ago

Q: I am unsure which method (i.e., Spreadsheet Upload, TM Sync, or Clubessential Sync) I should use to upload/sync my member roster to Golf Shop. Do you have any guidance on which method I should utilize?

A: While we can provide guidance, the solution might not always be straightforward. Some things you will want to consider before deciding which method to use:

  • Is your roster managed in another product? Note: We support integrations from Golf Genius TM and Clubessenital.

  • Are you already syncing your club website/accounting roster to Golf Genius Tournament Management?

We will cover a few common scenarios to help you decide which method you should consider using to import your member roster:

  • Scenarios to consider implementing the Golf Genius TM roster sync:

  • Scenario to consider implementing the Clubessential integration (Note: There is a fee from Clubessential to have a direct integration with Golf Shop.):

    • Scenario 3: You do not have Tournament Management but you have a Clubessential roster that you want synced to Golf Shop.

    • Scenario 4: You do not sync your Clubessential roster to Tournament Management but want it to sync to Golf Shop.

    • Scenario 5: You sync a portion of your Clubessential roster to Tournament Management, but you want more synced to Golf Shop.

  • Scenario to consider implementing the Spreadsheet Upload:

    • Scenario 6: You manage your roster with a club website/accounting roster provider (i.e., Jonas, MembersFirst, etc.), or do not have Golf Genius TM, and you will provide Golf Shop Support with a spreadsheet from that roster management database.

    • Scenario 7: You manage your roster with Golf Genius TM and/or Clubessential, but want a different roster uploaded to Golf Shop.
