Importing Survey Results to Member Profiles

A great way to build a detailed member profile is to import survey answers into your member roster. You can import the answers as new custom fields or match them to current custom fields. To do this, follow these instructions:

  1. Go to Communication > Surveys > Actions > Import Answers.

  2. Match the questions with any current custom fields. If there are no current custom fields to match a question, you can create a new one. To do this, select "Create New Custom Field" in the dropdown, then select the appropriate custom field category (if any). If you do not want to import a question, select "Skip Custom Field" in the dropdown. In the example below, the "What golf ball do you play?" question is being matched to the current "Golf ball" field. The second question is being skipped (and not imported). The last question is imported as a new custom field and placed in the "Merchandise Preference" field category.

  3. After completing the matching process, Click "Import Answers."

The answers will then be imported to the member profiles. If more members have completed their survey or changed their answers after the initial import, you can always go back to Communication > Surveys > Actions > Sync Answers to update the fields.
