When entering a special order or a stock order, you are presented with an entry form that allows you to select and enter order information. There are many system fields (e.g., PO#, Vendor, Item SKU, Wholesale Price, Dates etc.) that will always be available.
Plus, every order entry form will ask you to select a product category that displays relevant product detail custom fields. For instance, in the Special Order example below, there are additional product details available when selecting a driver as the product category.
In this article, we will discuss how you can create and update custom forms for each specific product category. For details on creating additional product detail custom fields, Click Here.
Creating Custom Forms:
To customize your Custom Forms, follow these instructions:
Go to Orders > Merchandise Setting > Custom Forms. You can either create a new custom form by clicking "New Custom Form" or editing one of the existing custom forms for a product category.
If creating a new form, select the product category that the form will apply. Note: If selecting a parent category, the form customization will also apply to all subcategory forms within that parent category that have not yet been customized.
Select the layout type (1 column or 2 columns).
Click and drag the available product detail custom fields into the layout on the left. You can also create new product detail custom fields (if necessary) and

Once the form design is finished, click "Save."
The Custom Form will then be built for the selected product category. The sequence below shows the process:
