Your rental inventory can be updated manually or via spreadsheet. Depending on the update, for example, if you upload a new inventory or update the existing inventory, it will determine how you want to update your inventory.
β
In this article, we will discuss the following cases when updating your inventory:
Updating existing inventory manually
Updating existing inventory via spreadsheet
Adding new rental inventory manually
Adding new rental inventory to the current inventory
Replacing the entire inventory
Update Existing Inventory Manually:
If you need to make minor modifications to a few rental items, this can be done simply by editing the item from the rental inventory within Golf Genius Golf Shop. To make changes manually to the existing inventory, follow these directions:
Go to Services > Rentals > Inventory.
Find the item you would like to update. Click the action drop-down and select "Edit."
Make the necessary changes.
Click "Save" (as shown below).
Update Existing Inventory via Spreadsheet:
(Note: This method should NOT be used when adding new rental inventory to the existing inventory. Use the following options "Adding New Rental Inventory to the Current Inventory.")
You can also make changes to your rental inventory via spreadsheet (e.g., change dexterity, flex, etc.) after the original spreadsheet has been loaded. This method may be quicker than going to the Rental Inventory list and making changes individually. This method is preferred when many changes need to be made to the inventory.
To update the existing inventory via spreadsheet, follow these instructions:
Go to Services > Rentals > Inventory > Download Spreadsheet.
Open the spreadsheet and make the appropriate changes to the rentals inventory (Note: You cannot delete clubs from your inventory via spreadsheet.)
Save the spreadsheet.
Go to Services > Rentals > Inventory > Choose File.
Select the recently downloaded spreadsheet from your computer.
Click "Import Spreadsheet."
Match your columns with our attributes (if necessary).
Click "Import Spreadsheet."
Your rental inventory will then be updated.
Adding New Rental Manually:
You can add new rental inventory manually from the rental inventory page (Rentals > Inventory). For complete details on adding inventory manually, Click Here.
