Why do I get the message, "Can't send a quote for an order with multiple customers"?

Q: I am trying to send a quote for a special order, but I keep getting the message "Can't send a quote for an order with multiple customers." Why am I getting this message, and how can I send the quote?

A: When sending a quote to a customer, the special order must be attached to a purchase order with only one member on it. To update a special order and add it to a new purchase order, follow these directions:

  1. Go to Orders > Special Order > Dashboard.

  2. Find the special order you need to update, select the action drop-down, and click "Edit."

  3. In the purchase order line, click "here" to add the special order to a new Purchase Order (as shown below). A new Purchase order will be created for this special order.

  4. Click "Send Quote" to send the quote.

  5. Make adjustments to the contact details and notifications (if necessary).

  6. Click "Send Quote."
