The Lost and Found General Settings comprise the default settings for Lost and Found. When tracking a new lost or found item, these settings are used as the defaults:
Lost and Found Item Number.
Current Location.
Item Categories.
To define these defaults, navigate to Services > Lost and Found > Settings.
Lost and Found Item Number:
The Lost and Found Item Number (LFIN#) start value is set to 1 by default. However, you may already have a running value when transitioning to Golf Shop.
To align the value with your previous system, enter the LFIN# starting value for the first tracked item placed in Golf Shop. Optionally, you can enter a prefix to be included in the LFIN#. By default, the prefix will be LFN-. For instance, the first tracked item in the example account below will be assigned the LFIN# of "SCLF-100" (as shown below).
Current Location:
When a found item is turned into the golf shop, you might have a few different places that the item could be stored. Current location provides a convenient way to quickly assign found items to a storage location. This location can also be used when messages are sent to the individual who lost an item, so they know where to recover that item when it's found. To create a current location, follow these directions:
Click "Create Location."
Enter the name of the location (as shown below).

Item Categories:
Item categories are a powerful tool for categorizing and organizing lost and found items. These categories can filter items on the Lost and Found Dashboard. To create an Item Category, follow these directions:
