TM Player Gifts: Sharing the Form

This article is for the following Golf Genius Tournament Management products using the Player Gifts feature for their Events/Leagues:

When syncing a Golf Genius TM Event Roster using the TM Tee Gift feature, you will be able to share the Online Order Form with individuals on your Golf Genius TM Event Roster. When sharing the form, you can send it via email or text message. To share the form with golfers on the event roster, use one of the following options:

Important Note:

When sharing the form via email or text message, as outlined in the linked articles, players will receive a text message with a UNIQUE link. These links are unique to each player and identify the player when the completed form is imported into the Player Order Status page. Further, if multiple people receive the same link, they will change each other's orders. Because of this, it is important to only send the form from Golf Shop, as outlined in the articles, to players on your Golf Genius TM Event Roster so each recipient receives a unique link.

Verifying an Online order form was Delivered (When Sent Directly From the Form)

You can view the Email Delivery Report to ensure emails were delivered successfully and identify those that were not. This reporting tool allows you to filter emails sent to individual players by a specific order form. You can view the email content and delivery status, and see whether the players opened the email.

To access the email delivery report for a TM Player Gift Order From, follow these directions:

  1. Navigate to Orders > Special Orders > Online Order Forms.

  2. Click the Action dropdown for the form you are working with.

  3. Select the option View Delivery Report (as shown below).

Online Order Process

As players receive their online order form via email and text message, they can place their order with the club.

When placing an order, players will select options from the available field dropdowns defined when creating the order form and fill out any required free-text fields. After selecting the available fields and entering a quantity, they can click "Add to Cart" (as shown below).

Items added to the cart will be displayed in the cart count in the upper-right corner. They can click the cart icon to view the items they have added to their cart. These details will include the item name, description, and quantity select, plus the ability to add special instructions (if enabled). If they need to remove an item, they can also do so by clicking the trash can icon (as shown below).

After sharing your form with golfers, you can track orders right in Golf Shop. Click Here for details.

Resending Online Order Forms to Players

As long as the order form is open, you can send the online form to players so they can access it if they delete the original email. When resending an online order form via email or text message, any customizations you made to the original message are retained for your convenience. For details, Click Here.

Sending Online Order Form Reminders

If you notice a low response rate from your players, you can send an email reminder for the online order form to encourage more responses/orders. As long as the online order form remains open, you can send a reminder email to all players who have received an email but have not completed the form. Click Here for more details.

Modifying an Order as a Player

A player will inevitably want to modify their order. Because of this, as long as the online order form is still open, players can return to it via the link sent by email or text to access and edit their current order.

Closed Order Forms

When the order form is closed by the auto-close date set up with the form, or manually by a manager, players who try to access the order form via the email or text message link will see a message stating that the form is closed. New orders or modifications to existing orders will no longer be available.

For players who have already made an order and are accessing a closed order from a unique email or text message link, a summary table of their order will be shown (as shown below). A shipping truck icon will indicate if the order has been placed with a vendor.
