How can I view the activity log of a lost and found item?

Q: I'd like to see the staff activity within a lost and found item (who entered the item, who updated the status, etc.). How can I do this?

A: To view the staff activity for lost and found items, edit the item, then select the "Activity Log" tab (as shown below).

You can view what actions are taken, who took them, manual and automated email delivery details, and the timestamp. The following actions are tracked in the activity log:

  • Item status updates (i.e., created, updated, status changes, etc.)

  • Edits to the Item

  • What staff member was involved with the action (if any)

  • When emails are sent

  • When text messages are sent

The Activity Log uses the logged-in manager to determine who took the action. To quickly switch logged-in users, you can change the Active Manager from the dashboard (as shown below).
