Club Repair Labels

Managing Club Repairs can be tricky, especially when you've got dozens of clubs waiting for service. It can take a lot of extra time just figuring out what work needs to be done on each one. Ensuring your technicians can quickly find the right information is essential for a smooth repair process. With Golf Shop, you can easily identify club repairs and match them to a Repair Order using Club Repair Labels.

Club Repair Label Templates

You will find a club label templates already created in the Report Center. Go to Report Center > Page Composer. The following template has been created for you:

  • Club Repair Labels - 94207: This template is modeled after the Avery 2x7 labels template 94207.

If this labels meets your needs, you can print club repair labels using the provided templates. If the label meets your needs, but minor adjustments must be made to the dynamic fields or layout, you can click "Copy" for that particular label (as shown below) and customize it. Alternatively, you can create new label reports using the Page Composer for other paper types or label sizes (e.g., Greenbriar).

Creating New Labels

To print rental labels, a label report must be created for each label type. To ensure you are capturing the appropriate details on your labels, separate reports should be made for:

Creating New Club Repair Labels

For your club repairs, you may need to create several label types for different kinds of repairs. This could include regripping, onsite repairs, offsite repairs, etc.

To create a new club repair label, follow the instructions below. For instruction on creating labels for thermal printers (e.g., Zebra, Dymo, Brother, etc.), Click Here.

  1. Go to Report Center > Page Composer > New Report > Page Composer.

  2. Name the Report.

  3. Select the Layout. If the proper layout is not available, you can create one. For more details on building/managing layout, Click Here.

  4. Print for each "Club Repair."

  5. Design the content for the labels. Some tips:

    1. Other pertinent information you could add: club logo, final destination, internal notes, customer phone number, and many other dynamic fields.

  6. Check the box for "Quick Access" if this club repair label report will be your default template to print labels in the future. For more details, Click Here.

  7. Click "Save."

Printing Club Repair Labels

Now that you've created club repair labels, you can print the labels and attach them to your repairs. To print your labels, follow these instructions:

  1. Go to Report Center > Page Composer.

  2. Hover your mouse over the label you need to print and click "Print" (as shown below).

  3. Select to print labels for:

    1. Selected Repairs: Click "Edit" to specify which clubs to print labels.

    2. All Repairs: A label will be printed for current repairs.

  4. Set the number of copies for each item. This is the number of copies that will print for each club repair selected in the previous step.

  5. If you have partially used label sheets, select your starting row and column.

  6. Click "Download."

  7. Click "Download PDF."

Quick Print Club Repair Labels

To Quick Print club repair labels, you must first define an existing club repair label report as the default club repair label template ("Club Repair Labels - 94207" has been assigned as the quick print default). You can change this by following these directions:

  1. Go to Report Center > Page Composer.

  2. Hover your mouse over the label you wish to use as the label and click "Edit."

  3. In the section "Quick Access," check the box for "This is my default repair labels template." For more details on setting the default club repair label template, Click Here.

  4. Click "Save."

Once a default club repair label template is selected, you can quickly print labels by follow these directions:

  1. Navigate to Services > Club Repair > Dashboard.

  2. Search for the club repair you want to print a label.

  3. Click the action dropdown and click "Print Club Repair Labels" (as shown below).


  4. Select the Club Repair Label if it is different from the one selected.

  5. Specify how many labels you would like to have printed.

  6. Set the starting point if printing on a partially used label sheet. You can set the row and column, and the starting position will be adjusted and shown in the page layout preview (as shown below). In this example we are printing 2 labels starting in row 2 column 2.

  7. Click download to download and print the labels.

Club Repair Label Best Practices:

  • When printing labels for the first time or creating a new label template, always test a label or two before using it during shop hours. This way you can:

    • Test to ensure the labels have the proper information.

    • Verify the font is legible.

    • The labels are centered and not cut off.

  • When using laser or inkjet printers to print labels, put a seal on the labels to ensure that the ink is not washed away.
