Upload Grip Inventory via Spreadsheet

Updated over 4 months ago

Adding and maintaining grips counts in your Grip Inventory can be done in many different ways. One of the methods is via spreadsheet. In this article, we will discuss how to upload a spreadsheet of grips to your Grip Inventory and how to make changes to existing quantities via spreadsheet.

Compiling the Spreadsheet:

Below is an example of a spreadsheet that can be uploaded. You can get a similar spreadsheet by going to Services > Club Repair > Grip Inventory > Download Spreadsheet

Before uploading, the following must be adhered to:

  • The spreadsheet must be in XLS, XLSX, or CSV format.

  • The spreadsheet must have only one worksheet.

  • The first row must have column headings (e.g., name, description, quantity, etc.).

  • Each row should only have the data for one grip.

  • The name is a required column.

We highly suggest including:

  • Description: A brief description of the grip from the vendor.

  • Quantity: Total quantity of grips in stock

  • Selling Price: What is the consumer price of the grip.

  • Wholesale Price: What the clubs wholesale price is of the grip.

  • Par Level: Periodic Automatic Replacement (PAR) is an inventory control that tells you what levels of inventory you should have in stock in order to fulfill demand.

Uploading the Spreadsheet:

When the spreadsheet is compiled and ready to upload, follow these instructions:

  1. Go to Services > Club Repair > Grip Inventory > Choose File.

  2. Find and select the spreadsheet from your computer and then click "Open."

  3. Click "Import Spreadsheet."

  4. We will automatically match some columns. However, some unmatched columns may need to match, choose to skip, or create new custom fields (as shown below).

  5. Once all the columns are matched, click "Import Spreadsheet," and the vendor will be loaded.

  6. Click "Back" once the import is finalized (as shown below).

Note: Click "Edit" on any grips to make additional changes and upload graphics of each grip. For more details about editing grips, Click Here.

Making Changes via Spreadsheet:

You can also make changes to the Grip Inventory via spreadsheet (e.g., adding new grips, changing quantities, etc.) after the original spreadsheet has been loaded. This is sometimes preferable when many changes need to be made to the inventory.

To do this, follow these instructions:

  1. Go to Services > Club Repair > Grip Inventory > Download Spreadsheet. Then, download and save the spreadsheet to your computer.

  2. Make a copy of the spreadsheet as a backup.

  3. Open the spreadsheet and make your changes in the spreadsheet.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT sort any columns in the excel document unless you un-hide column A (Column A is always hidden by default and includes grip ID numbers).

    1. You can edit the values of existing grips.

    2. You can add new grips to the spreadsheet.

    3. You cannot delete grips via spreadsheet. (To delete grips, go to the grip inventory and click on delete in the action for the grips row.)

  4. Save the spreadsheet as a ".xlsx" file.

  5. Go to Services > Club Repair > Grip Inventory > Choose File > Select the spreadsheet from your computer and click "Import Spreadsheet."

  6. Match any attributes that may need to be matched and click "Import Spreadsheet."

  7. Click "Back" once the import is finalized.
