Note: The Golf Genius AI Assistant is in Beta. Features and behavior may change without notice. Review any change the AI Assistant proposes before you confirm it.
When a golfer is waiting at the counter, finding the right screen and filling out a form to check out a rental, issue a demo, or record a found item takes time you don't have. The Golf Genius AI Assistant lets Managers describe the task in plain language. The AI Assistant finds the right record, shows exactly what it will do, and makes the change only after you confirm. The Golf Genius AI Assistant (Beta) is available to all Golf Shop accounts and requires no setup. It supports Demo Clubs, Rentals, and Lost and Found.
In this article, we will discuss how to access the Golf Genius AI Assistant, what it can do in Golf Shop, and its current limitations.
Accessing the AI Assistant
From Golf Shop

Navigate to the Golf Shop Golf Genius AI Landing page from one of the following location:
Home Page (Analytics Dashboard): Navigate to the Home Page and click "Golf Genius AI" at the top of the page (as shown below).
Navigation Menu: You can also select "Golf Genius AI" from the left-side navigation menu.
Review the Golf Genius AI page, which summarizes what the AI Assistant can do (as shown below).

How the AI Assistant Works
The AI Assistant handles two types of requests:
Lookups: Questions such as which demos are out or whether an item has been turned in. These are answered immediately and change nothing.
Changes: Requests such as checking out a rental or finalizing a demo. The AI Assistant first proposes the change. It names the record using your shop's own label (such as the tracking label or order number) and states what will change. Nothing is saved until you confirm (as shown below).
If you ask for several changes in one message, the AI Assistant groups them into one summary so you only need to confirm once. If you don't confirm, or you ask for something else instead, the proposed change is dropped.
The AI Assistant follows your shop's setup. Dates and times use your shop's formats, Lost and Found items use your own categories and locations, and rentals use your own rental types. It also follows the same rules as Golf Shop itself. For example, it cannot finalize a demo that was never checked out.
What Golf Genius AI Assistant Can Do
The examples below show the kind of requests the AI Assistant understands. You don't need to use these exact words.
Demo Clubs
See open demos, including reserved, out, and overdue demos: What demos are out right now?
Search demo inventory by make, type, and specification: Which right-handed Ping drivers in stiff flex are available?
Check out a demo (full club, or head and shaft) to a Member or Guest with an expected return date: Give Mike Smith the Ping driver until Friday.
Change a demo's expected return date or add a note: Mike Smith is keeping his rental another week.
Start a demo reservation when the Member or Guest picks up the club: Mike is here for the driver he booked.
Cancel a demo reservation that has not started: Cancel Mike driver rental.
Finalize a demo once the club is returned, sold, or written off: Mike Smith's demo came back.
Rentals and Reservations
See current rentals, including overdue items: Anything overdue?
See upcoming reservations: What is booked for the weekend?
Search rental inventory by set type, flex, dexterity, and brand: Any ladies right-handed sets available?
Check out a rental now: Men's right-handed stiff set for Mike Smith, back Sunday
Reserve a rental for later: Hold a cart for Mike on Saturday
Start a reservation when the Member or Guest arrives: Mike is here for his set
Extend a rental: He needs it until Tuesday
Reschedule a reservation: Push Mike's booking to Sunday
Cancel a rental or reservation: Mike cancelled, drop the booking
Finalize a rental once the set is returned: The Titleist set is back in
Lost and Found
Search found items by description, category, status, person, and date range: Has a brown wallet been turned in?
Search lost items: A Ping 9-iron was turned in. Has one been reported lost?
Report a lost item: Mike Smith lost black Oakley sunglasses
Report a found item, including who turned it in and where it was found: John Jones found a 9-iron on the 12th fairway
Update an item's status (mark as found, claim, return to owner, delete, restore, or revert): Mike picked up his sunglasses
Members and Guests
The AI Assistant can look up Members and Guests by name, email, phone, or member number. If someone isn't on file, it can add them as a Guest. It always checks for an existing record first to avoid duplicates.
Using Golf Shop and Tournament Management Together
If your account includes both Golf Shop and Tournament Management, you can work in both from the same conversation. The AI Assistant sends each request to the right product automatically. Tournament Management access requires a TM Premium or Association account with the Golf Genius AI Beta enabled. For details on the Tournament Management side, Click Here.
Current Limitations
During the Beta, the AI Assistant:
Supports Demo Clubs, Rentals, and Lost and Found only. Special Orders, Stock Orders, Club Repair, Tasks, Surveys, and Online Order Forms are not supported.
Cannot create rental or demo inventory items. Add new items from the inventory screens in Golf Shop.
Does not answer tee sheet or tournament questions using Golf Shop records.
Tells you when it can't handle a request.
Note: Anonymized usage data may be collected to improve the AI Assistant.
